LiveDaily, Virgin Mobile, Documentary Channel & Big String "Rock Journalist" Contest
Create a contest splash page encouraging would-be rock journalists to enter for a chance to cover the Virgin Music Festival and to have their story published on both LiveDaily.com and DocumentaryChannel.com. They wanted energetic copy with clear and concise entry instructions that also spotlighted four distinct brands: LiveDaily, The Documentary Channel, Virgin Mobile, and BigString.
Working with the graphic designer, we created a page with a striking visual concept and voice that evoked a rock vibe.
Razorgator + Kobe Bryant NBA Finals Sweepstakes
Mid-sized ticketing company Razorgator wanted more brand recognition, so they leveraged their partnership with Kobe Bryant to conduct an NBA Finals (Lakers vs. Celtics) ticket giveaway--one random drawing for each game. In return, Kobe would get more Facebook and Twitter followers, plus some great PR. I was responsible for writing all digital PR collateral including: 1) Contest Email Announcement 2) Contest Splash Page 3) Entry Page 4) All Facebook and Twitter newsfeed messages for Kobe & Razorgator 5) Email to non-winners.
All Facebook messaging was written in first-person (Kobe's) perspective for a personal touch. All messaging from Razorgator emphasized the historic rivalry between the Lakers and Celtics. Kobe gained thousands of followers, Razorgator gained recognition, some lucky fans scored once-in-a-lifetime tickets, and the Lakers won the championship!
LiveDaily Taylor Swift Video Contest
Write splash page content for a contest run by Live Daily and Taylor Swift/Big Machine Records. The page should contain entry rules, as well as promotional copy for Taylor's then-new album, Fearless.
Taylor filmed a video introduction to the contest, asking fans to perform a cover of one of her songs for a chance to win a prize package. I wrote supplemental copy (in a voice targeted to Taylor's fanbase) to drum up excitement and outline the rules for entry.
